Early on in our project with Rochon they stated that an important part of their work, beyond providing a good product, was building relationships. We found that to be very much the case during the project and after it wrapped up. They communicated extremely well, kept on task and, we felt, worked on our behalf to get the job done as specified and on time. The project was for the most part design/build therefore open dialog was essential. When changes did occur they were well communicated and thoroughly discussed with all parties before being acted on. While the project has been completed for several years now, their follow-up to any questions or warranty issues remains very strong.

Rochon was the general contractor selected by the City of Winterset to build our $3M outdoor aquatic center. Construction began in the spring of 2005 and was completed in the spring of 2006. As a result of efforts by Rochon, sub-contractors and consultants, our aquatic center was completed on time and on budget. Ron, Dave, Matt and Seamus were all helpful and professional throughout our project from the groundbreaking ceremony, throughout construction to the grand opening celebration.
The City of Winterset appreciates the work that Rochon performed. Our project was a complete success. We closed our old pool in 2005, opened our new facility the next year (without missing a swimming season) and stayed on budget. We are preparing for our third aquatic center season as our facility continues to operate structurally and mechanically very well. Our new aquatic center has been well received with attendance topping 40,000 last season.

We were given access to all construction meetings and to the information coming out of them. Any questions or concerns we had regarding the building, inside or out, were dealt with in a very timely manner. We were always welcomed on-site to tour the building and actually started shelving library material as the last of the construction work was finished.Any questions about the building, any problems that might have occurred since the building was finished have been dealt with in a satisfactory manner. Rochon employees; on-site supervisory people or office staffs have always been courteous and helpful. Each first-time library visitor comments on what a beautiful building this is. Thanks Dave to you and all the Rochon people for helping make Waukee’s dream of a new library come true.- Linda Mack, Director

I am delighted to offer this letter of recommendation for the Rochon Corporation. The Norwalk Police Department is extremely delighted with their work. The project was completed on schedule and with no surprises on the cost. Rochon bid our project at considerably less time and money than any other bidder. I personally am extremely delighted with the professional product they delivered. The facility they constructed is the pride of our community and has sparked jealousy in other area law enforcement agencies. I would highly recommend Rochon to anyone with a construction need.- Eddie H. Kuhl, Chief of Police

Dear Mr. Stence,
I am writing to let you know what a pleasure it has been to work with both Bob Herselius and Terry Pearce through Panorama Schools’ construction project. Both men have been very professional, courteous and dependable.
I have worked most directly with Bob Herselius throughout the project. Bob consistently is here early in the morning, stays late into the afternoon, and comes back to Panora on weekends to check on the work progress whenever necessary. I have been impressed with his ability to manage large numbers of people and to keep the project running efficiently on a very tight timeline. As you know, this past year has presented many challenges – we experienced one of the snowiest, coldest winters followed by one of the rainiest, wettest summers on record. Despite that, he was able to keep the project moving forward and to get us back into the building in only 10 short weeks this summer.
I have appreciated Bob’s can-do spirit in the face of unexpected events and adverse conditions. Always, Bob was flexible in working through problems and more than patient. Working in the midst of a school setting with so many people providing their own input had to be frustrating and time-consuming for him. But Bob was always patient with people and willing to listen and consider their ideas.
I also have appreciated the professionalism of Terry Pearce. While I didn’t work as directly with Terry, he has always been supportive and open to the needs and requests of the school district. Both men are great representatives of your company, and I have appreciated working with them.
I hate to imagine what would have happened to this project without their positive approach in the face of challenges, their skills in managing this project and their strong work ethic. As a result of their efforts, we now have a facility that we can show off to the community with pride. Please let Bob and Terry know we appreciate their involvement and enjoyed working with them.
